How do we design theatres to ensure they perform better? On the 12 June 2007 those responsible for creating performances, staging productions, running theatres, managing facilities and attracting audiences came together to debate what they wanted to see incorporated into the design of theatres.

Contributors from across the UK led the discussion in this day long conference organised by The Theatres Trust.

Performing Theatres? was chaired by Ian Brown, Artistic Director, West Yorkshire Playhouse, Genista McIntosh and Venu Dhupa, Director of Creative Innovation, Southbank Centre.

The End-to-End Party, immediately following the Conference was free to delegates and provided an opportunity to relax and unwind and discuss issues arising from the day informally with exhibitors from the ABTT Theatre Show.
