Process begins to find a provider for a new theatre in Reading

3rd August 2016

The ball has started rolling on Reading Borough Council’s long-standing ambition to create a large new performing arts venue, with the launch of a preliminary market consultation on Friday 29th July. The key purpose of the market consultation is to establish market interest to deliver and operate a new theatre, serving Reading and the wider region. The proposed new theatre would need to be funded by the delivery partner, rather than the Council, who would facilitate development by providing the land on which it could be built.
