Llandudno Grand Theatre could return to cultural use under new owner
Rebecca Morland, theatres adviser for the Theatres Trust, said: “The Theatres Trust is pleased that an owner has been found for the Grand. As a grade II*-listed building designed by the internationally renowned Edwardian theatre architect Edwin O Sachs, it is of considerable importance. The building needs substantial work to address its structural condition. Its under-stage equipment is very rare and its lavish auditorium is particularly fine. We intend to engage with the new owners as soon as possible about their plans.”

ACE Capital investment 2015-18: Large Capital Grants Scheme open for applications

Arts Council England’s Capital investment programme supports organisations to develop resilience by giving them the right buildings and equipment to deliver their work, and to become more sustainable and resilient businesses. They invest in large and small Capital grants. They will invest £88 million of National Lottery funding in large capital grants over the 2015-18 period, and have split the available budget over two application rounds: £45 million in the first round and £43 million in the second and are currently receiving applications for large Capital grants.

The first round is open to applications now, and closes 12pm on 27 August 2015.
