Two theatre projects shortlisted for RIBA South East Regional Awards

Two theatre projects are amongst sixteen buildings which have been shortlisted for RIBA South East Regional Awards, which covers Kent, Surrey and East and West Sussex.These include Foster Wilson Architects’ Caryl Churchill Theatre, Royal Holloway, University of London, Egham, and Haworth Tompkins’ Chichester Festival Theatre.

Three theatre projects shortlisted for RIBA London Regional Awards

Three theatre projects are amongst sixty eight buildings to have been shortlisted for RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) London 2015 Awards. These include Allies & Morrison’s Sam Wanamaker Theatre, and two projects by Haworth Tompkins, the National Theatre, as part of the NT Future project, and the Donmar’s Dryden Street facilities.

Revised Design & Access statement for the proposed Streatham Hill studio theatre submitted

Following feedback from local residents and theatre professionals David Hughes architects have submitted a revised Design & Access statement for the theatre space at 140 -172 Streatham Hill, planning application 14/06765/VOC currently lodged with Lambeth Council.

9th OISTAT Theatre Architecture Competition 2015

The OISTAT Theatre Architecture Competition is an international ideas competition, aimed at students and emerging practitioners, which is organised every four years by the Architecture Commission of OISTAT (International Organisation of Scenographers, Technicians and Theatre Architects). The theme for this years competition will be the design of a floating theatre to be moored at a particular location on the river Spree in Berlin, Germany, but capable of being moved to other sites on the river.
