Keswick Theatre oral history project secured HLF grant

A project documenting an oral history of professional theatre in Keswick has been boosted by a grant of £33,500 from the Heritage Lottery Fund. ‘Talking Tales’ was conceived by the Friends of Theatre by the Lake, a group of passionate supporters who have raised more than £390,000 for the theatre since it opened in 1999.

Leeds Grand Theatre receives a blue plaque

Leeds Grand Theatre has received a Blue Plaque from Leeds Civic Trust to honour its heritage. Local writer, director and producer, Kay Mellor, unveiled the plaque today (Tuesday 23rd July) in the Dress Circle Bar at the Theatre.
