London 2012 announces its plans for the Cultural Olympiad

London 2012 will open its doors through a network of Creative Programmers around the country, to respond to ideas and proposals from all kinds of large and small organisations wishing to participate in the Cultural Olympiad.

This is a first. No other Cultural Olympiad has opened to everyone to participate on such a scale. And it is introducing a new official ‘Inspire’ mark, which means that those selected projects can be really part of the Games, promoted around the world.

DLA Architecture's Stage@Leeds complete

DLA Architecture has completed work on its £3.3 million Stage@Leeds building for Leeds University School of Performance & Cultural Industries. The scheme, within the main university campus, features a public performance theatre, an experimental working theatre, workshops, backstage facilities, administration and staff offices, and postgraduate research spaces.

New Weymouth Pavilion management opportunities

Weymouth Pavilion Complex, not due to open until at least 2011, is looking at outside management to run its theatre, security, maintenance, cleaning, catering and the World Heritage Centre, individually or as an overall management contract.
