Theatres Trust acts to prevent demolition of Beaton venue

The Theatres Trust has objected to plans to demolish the 450-seat Shell Theatre designed by Cecil Beaton. The national advisory body for theatre buildings said that the central London performance space, which is in the basement of the Shell Centre on the South Bank, had been designed to a high technical and professional standard and could in the future be used for professional shows.

Government announces planning red tape will be cut

Town and Country Planning Association release report 'Planning Out Poverty'

The TCPA, supported by the Webb Memorial Trust, has today launched in Parliament a snew report, ‘Planning out Poverty’, which argues that planning has become increasingly disconnected from people’s lives and has lost its focus on securing greater social equity.

Huntingdonshire District Council is currently considering the above applications for the redevelopment of RAF Brampton, Buckden Road, Brampton. The proposal includes demolition of the RAF Brampton Theatre, a 2013 Theatre Building at Risk.
