Camden Council has determined that the Cochrane Theatre on Theobald’s Road is Class D1 ‘place of education’ rather than a stand-alone sui generis use as a theatre.

Chatham's former Theatre Royal to be revived as a restaurant and bar

Medway Council has consulted The Theatres Trust on the above application to change the use of the remaining section of the former Theatre Royal to allow restaurants, cafes and bars. The theatre’s auditorium was demolished a number of years ago and the remaining entrance building was in a poor state of disrepair. The application will return the building to a sustainable active use and help rejuvenate the high street.
