Kensington and Chelsea Council consulted The Theatres Trust on the above planning application for alterations and conversion of the second and attic floors of the building at 118 Finborough Road into three residential units. The Finborough Theatre is located on the first floor of the building.

The Trust objected to the application as we are substantially concerned about the adverse effect the residential units will have on the viability and long term operation of the Finborough Theatre. Both theatre and residential uses are noise sensitive and this proposal fails to demonstrate that it adequately addresses potential noise transfer between both uses. Read the Trust’s response
