The Theatres Trust announces entrants for its People's Choice Award 2011

The Theatres Trust are pleased to announce that the following products have been entered for our second People’s Choice Award at PLASA 2011, Earls Court, London.
Each of the manufacturers have entered existing or new products they consider are making a significant difference to the resource efficiency of theatres.
PLASA 2011 exhibitors entering the Award are:

The products will be viewable on the Trust’s Ecovenue stand (2-M14) and the winner will be selected by public vote. More information on each entry will be available at the stand in person, on an information board, and also via an I-APP. Our stand showcases the work of the Trust’s Ecovenue project and highlights the work that each of the 48 participating theatres have been doing to improve their environmental performance.
The Award will be presented on Tuesday 13 September 2011 at 5.00pm on The Theatres Trust’s Ecovenue stand (2-M14) at PLASA2011, Earls Court. The event includes a drinks reception kindly sponsored by Clay Paky. All visitors and exhibitors are welcome to attend.
The presentation will mark the culmination of ‘Sustainability Tuesday’, a day of seminars focused on sustainability issues. This will include a Theatres Trust seminar entitled ‘Putting Sustainability Centre Stage: Practical ways to improve your venue’s performance’.
The Trust will also be host to a number of staged events on its stand (2-M14) throughout PLASA2011, with special events from the Association of Lighting Designers, ABTT, Stage Management Association and Julies Bicycle.
Ecovenue is a European Regional Development Fund backed environmental sustainability project being run by The Theatres Trust which aims to make a real difference to the environmental performance of 48 London theatres, and is leading the way in promoting the reduction of carbon emissions through the provision of free theatre-specific, environmental business support.
