As the National Advisory Public Body for Theatres, The Theatres Trust is the government’s statutory adviser on theatres.

Facilitation

The Trust provides advice to theatres and organisations in the early stages of developing capital projects. We can also help advise theatres facing pressures or opportunities from development.

Events

The Trust’s events bring together the theatre sector to develop debate and define shared principles on what makes a good theatre.

Theatre, arts and cultural policy

The Trust provides advice on theatre buildings and infrastructure in local, regional and national theatre, arts and cultural policy consultations.

Theatres Database

We maintain the UK’s primary source of information on theatres in our Theatres Database and Image Library. We also hold archive materials, publications and reference materials on theatres in the UK

TBAR Theatre Buildings At Risk

Each year The Theatres Trust identifies theatre buildings most at risk in the UK and publishes its list of top ten Theatre Buildings At Risk.
