The façade has a plain brick ground floor with a recessed entrance under columns, above which is a restaurant behind vertical windows. A figure of Mercury appears on the roof at the apex of the ‘V’ to the right, and the name ‘Mercury Theatre’ in red tablature above the recessed entrance. The building is unusually shaped, virtually following the contours of the hexagonal stage within.
