Colour photograph showing a view of Cromer Pier in Norfolk. Taken from slightly above the pier and to the left, it shows the grand entrance to the pier towards the bottom right hand corner with the walkway on the diagonal and the Pavilion Theatre at the head of the pier towards the top left hand corner of the photograph. The façade and roof are visible from this angle. It is an iron framework of three bays by three bays, with curved lines across the roof affirming the fin-de-siecle origins of the design. A canopy, formed from the continuation of the roof, extends the width of the façade creating canopied areas either side of a central single-storey entrance block that projects out from the main building. The number ‘21’ appears in red tablature above the entrance with the name of the theatre on a sign covering a large clerestory in the centre of the roof.
