    Black and white postcard showing the façade and sidewall of The Playhouse in London. The theatre, with its line of alternate pilasters and pedimented window features, is situated on the curved corner where Villiers Street meets Craven Passage. A canopy over the main entrance lies on the corner, with THE PLAYHOUSE appearing both on the face of the canopy and below it. THE PLAYHOUSE also appears in large tablature below a line of crowning balustrades. Advertising signage and various doorways are visible at street-level, with the door to the right of the main entrance marked UPPER CIRCLE & GALLERY.
