  • Description
Photograph of a black and white postcard showing the façade and tower of the London Coliseum, within a streetscape of St. Martin's Lane in London. An iron canopy can be seen set into a two-story archway which forms the main entrance. The rest of the façade incorporates a number of balconied windows, above which the tower rises to dominate the upper half of the postcard. The tower is decorated with symbolic figures on the first level and lions on the second, separated by several small columns. At the top some figures are bent down together supporting a large globe that bears the sign ‘Coliseum’.
