  • Description
Colour-tinted postcard of the royal box at the Coliseum in London. The view is from the stalls, just a few rows away, looking directly at the red and gold decorated box which is situated in the centre at the back of the stalls. The box is flanked by two golden figures who are holding up the dress circle above. A golden dome forms a roof over the box with a lion and a horse guarding a side each. Dark red drapes with golden features are hanging open and spill down over the white balustrades at the front. (This postcard is accompanied by an exact replica postmarked 1906-10-23.)
