  • Description
Black and white photograph showing the façade of the Hippodrome in Bo’Ness. Taken from across the road on Hope Street, it shows a circular hippodrome with a shallow domed roof and an entrance pavilion topped with a smaller dome on the left hand side in Scottish debased Art Nouveau style. HIPPODROME appears both above the main entrance and in tablature higher up on the pavilion. The exterior is harled and is decorated with flags and festoons to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation.
