    Colour photograph showing the auditorium of the New Vic, which was built into the original 1903 entranceway of the Theatre Royal (when it was demolished in 1972), in Bristol. Taken from the rear of the auditorium, at the top of a central aisle between yellow bleacher seating, it shows an elongated hexagonal-shaped auditorium, with the stage dominating the centre, surrounded a shallow balcony above containing more seating. The main body of seating in visible in the foreground at the bottom of the photograph.
