    Colour photograph showing the façade and hipped roof of the Playhouse (Paxton Suite) in Buxton. Taken from outside the entrance to the Pavilion Gardens on St John’s Road, it shows a long, low stone façade to the left running the full length of auditorium and stage. Rusticated pilasters with finials divide the four centre bays, and an elaborate Baroque gable tops each of the outer bays.
