  • Description
Colour photograph showing the façade of a Coral bingo club, formerly the Philharmonic Hall, in Cardiff. Taken from across St Mary Street, it shows a three-storey, stone façade with a triangular pediment (bearing the words CARDIFF PHILHARMONIC HALL ANNO DOMINI 1876) over three central bays with another pair of bays either side. Pilasters separate each bay with set back window features in between. A canopy supported by columns extends the width of the three central bays over the entrance to the bingo hall. A bookmakers (‘Jack Brown’) occupies the outer bays on the left hand side, with a clothes shop (‘Skin’) on the right.
