Taken from the dress circle, it shows an imposing proscenium flanked by giant fluted Ionic columns carrying a big triangular open pediment, with a bas-relief Grecian frieze above. At the time the photograph was taken the former theatre was being used as a discotheque, and the stage has been converted to a seating area. The auditorium is decorated in black with gold dressings.
