  Photograph of a sepia-tinted postcard showing the façade of The Garrick Theatre within a streetscape of Charing Cross Road in London. The theatre dominates the left hand side of the postcard. Columns line a balcony in the centre of the façade forming a first floor portico. Signage can be seen at street-level and across the canopy which advertises a production called ‘The Bishop’s Move’ starring Arthur Bourchier, who also happened to be managing the theatre at the time. The words GARRICK THEATRE 1889 can be seen up high in terracotta where the theatre continues to the right of the main part of the building.
