The entrance, which is flanked by exits, is covered by a stayed flat canopy; above, the Portland stone frontage features three semicircular windows flanked by windows with swan-neck pediments at second-storey level, an ornate balcony at third-storey level, and a full modillion cornice and parapet at the top of the building. Caption text identifies the architect as Frank T Verity.
