The Muni

1059

Part of the arts centre, within a rather handsome building; a varied cluster of vaguely Jacobean forms with a tower and cupola, on the main road near the town hall. It is a flat-floored multi-purpose hall first built with an open platform and no provision for scenery, but modified and now with proscenium stage and in regular use for stage shows. Horseshoe shaped balcony with ornamental plaster front. No orchestra pit. Rear wall used as cyclorama. Get-in via front door. Four dressing rooms.
