Details

The Coliseum opened on 16 November 1914 and was converted to a cinema in 1918. The main entrance had a Corinthian portico from which staircases and corridors led to the house. There were two circles and no side boxes, although a line of side boxes encircled the rear of the ground floor, and there were two boxes in line of the circle above. There were plaster mouldings in the auditorium, and above the proscenium the Burslem Arms. There was no fly tower.
