Details

The theatre was a rectangular room at first floor level with pit boxes and gallery. Following its closure in 1867 the interior fittings were removed. It opened again with the pit floored over as the Floral Hall in 1890. In this form it had a moveable stage and was used occasionally for theatrical performances, with a capacity of c.400. It was converted to a boot factory in 1909 and eventually demolished in 1967.
