Details

Three-bay, two storey classical stucco frontispiece, arched pilastered windows. Outer bays with double pilasters above ground floor piers and deep parapet over cornice. Pedimented centre with coupled Ionic columns on ground floor, Corinthian above. Large keyed arched portal. The façe remains intact. The building served as the theatre and later the Town Hall. It reverted to theatre use and in 1978 became a dance hall, then night club. In 1990 it was gutted and subdivided into flats. The theatre is remembered with affection by residents - its use declined when both railway stations at Ventnor closed.
