Details

Situated within the shopping area, Lincoln Drill Hall was originally built c.1898 as a military training hall and paid for by Joseph Ruston. It underwent a £3m refurbishment in 2004 to become a performing arts and community venue. It is owned by the Ruston Hall Trust and run by the Council. Two storeys, red brick with stone dressings; crenellated parapet and central three storey tower. The main auditorium has an open stage and bays divided by slender, gothic-arched trusses springing from the floor. It seats 370 and is a flexible space offering a programme of theatre, comedy, dance and music. It has additional meeting rooms and a modern caféar.
