Details

Opened as a theatre in 1930, converted from upper part of a nineteenth century Rechabite Hall - originally a Baptist chapel. It has been much altered over the years (including after a fire in 1955), but still looks like an old chapel (gravestones in yard at rear) with added red brick fly tower. Auditorium single-raked with flat ceiling.
