Details

Closed and near derelict (last used as a cinema). Imposing and unusual façe, mixed Gothic and classical. Stone-faced of three storeys and seven bays, divided by pilaster strips, all under one big pedimented gable. Closely spaced mullioned and transomed first floor windows with cusped heads and a continuous series of small rectangular windows below the pediment. In 1923 the galleries of the old auditorium were removed and replaced by one large balcony.
