Details

Built as a cinema with a stage, six dressing rooms, orchestra pit and music room, but no fly tower. Used by amateurs and professional variety artists. Foyer block projects from the rectangular main body; all elevations in brick with sparse dressings. The design included two shops. Closed 1960 and derelict until reopened as a bingo hall in 1964. Closed again in 1990s and now boarded up. Externally appears to be in good condition and located at a busy cross roads, but not a promising location for a theatre.
