Details

A cinéariety of 1929. Flank wall, red brick with stone dressings, faces Russell Street with original main entrance at one end set behind a pair of Doric columns with a semi-circular arch and parapet with central tablet over. Bay to right of entrance rises an additional storey and has arched, balustraded balcony, off-centre at first floor. Stage house and large fly tower. Interior not seen but said to have false ceiling at first balcony level, stage and stalls levelled, but proscenium arch untouched. Bingo entrance has been moved to the other flank of the building, by the railway station.
