Details

Designed on the same lines and by the same architects as the Friars (now Marlowe), Canterbury. The building replaced an earlier theatre in the same street. Three-storey, steel frame and brick, rendered, originally outlined in neon. Central entrance with metal and glass canopy. Tripartite windows at ground and first floor level. Plain attic, stepped above entrance. Auditorium in modern style with stage facilities, retained today in spite of 1987 subdivision. Remains in independent ownership.
