Details

Built in 1881 as a flat-floored concert room on the second floor above the Duke of Connaught Coffee Tavern. It was a stock brick building in Gothic style. Alterations in 1892 and 1900 led to its becoming a variety theatre, later becoming one of the first cinemas in Woolwich, probably closing c.1918 for conversion to a restaurant and function rooms. It was demolished in the mid 1980s.
