Details

An interesting survivor of a single storey variety hall in a small mining town in the Lanarkshire coalfield. The exterior is a simple brick shed with a pitched roof and projecting stage house (no fly tower). The long side elevation has an entrance portico with stone dressings to three arches, which accessed different seating price areas and are now bricked up. The auditorium was on the stadium plan with a barrel vaulted ceiling and pilastered side walls. It is well maintained as a small bingo club.
