Details

Built as a corn exchange and market, converted to theatre/cinema use in 1908. Harled gushet building of two storeys, entrance signified by diapered pilasters rising to support a central pediment with the town crest grandly aloft, flanked by chimneys. A most attractive piece of Scots borough architecture by a respected and prolific local architect. The interior has been altered many times, most recently for bingo.
