Details

The Odeon was built on the site of the former Grand Theatre which was destroyed by fire in 1932. Designed by Harry Weedon, it had full stage facilities. No further description found. It closed in 1975 and was used as a warehouse during the 1980s, when it suffered minor fire damage. It lay derelict for many years, but in 1999 was converted for use as licensed premises, retaining the balcony.
