Details

Opened in 1910 as Pringles Picture Palace with a small cinéariety stage. Exterior stucco faced with a dome. Served as a repertory theatre from the mid-1940s and became Nottingham Playhouse in 1948, remaining in operation until the new Playhouse opened. One of the principal regional repertory houses in its time, despite the limitations of an impossibly small stage. Following a number of uses the building is now a public house.
