Details

Originally a drill hall for the Artists' Rifles, converted to a dancehouse in 1969 by the Contemporary Ballet Trust (later the Contemporary Dance Trust), and improved and extended in 2001 with the aid of a lottery grant. Yellow brick with terra cotta dressings; gabled with slated roof and dormers. The Robin Howard Dance Theatre is fully accessible, seating in a single rake with excellent sightlines. Home to the London Contemporary Dance School and one of the world's leading centres for modern dance performance.
