Details

The new Pavilion was built to accommodate the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod which, until 1992, was housed for many years in a giant tent. The site is on meadowland nestling in a valley and the arena was constructed in permanent lightweight materials sculptured to resemble a huge tented pavilion. The core is a main hall with stage and dressing rooms from which the Eisteddfod arena extends, seating 4500 in total, standing capacity 6000. When not hosting the Eisteddfod, the pavilion is used year-round as an events, festival and conference venue, with a regular programme of comedy, dance and theatre.
