Details

A small-scale studio theatre which presents and produces innovative contemporary work by established and emerging artists. The company was founded in 1994 by a group of theatre practitioners wishing to create a space for a collaborative working process. In 2003 the organisation opened a new community arts and workshop space. The Basement enables CPT to offer valuable community arts projects, and the space is an important resource for some innovative cross-generational work, frequently used as rehearsal facility by emerging companies.
