Above the Stag

3946

The Stag public house was built on the site of the redeveloped Stag Brewery cask yard and opened in July 1963. The upstairs function room was converted in 2008 into a 50-seat fringe venue with a focus on producing LGBT theatre including new writing, musicals and revivals. Above the Stag remained over the pub until its demolition in 2012 when the theatre found a new home in Vauxhall.
