Details

The Queen's Hall was built as a Freemasons Club and Hall and was used for entertainment. It had a stage with proscenium, and in 1911 was converted to double with bioscope by the Wright Brothers. It continued in the 'club' style of entertainment until 1938 when it became a servicemen's club and canteen for the duration of the war. Afterwards it became the Richmond Community Centre, catering for a variety of organisations and activities. It was demolished in 1986.
