Details

Red brick with some moulded brick dressings. Good façe to the street, now with a shopfront. Clocktower on left, with semi-circular window in gable. Date stone (1893) on rear building, but plaques on front seem to celebrate 1897 Jubilee. The theatre (a flat-floored multi-purpose space) is on the first floor, approached by an iron staircase. Small stage with well-modelled cartouche over square proscenium arch with enriched architrave. End balcony and one separate side balcony. Full of furniture but otherwise not much altered.
