Details

Opened in 1914 as a cinéariety house on two levels. Large, wide and deep auditorium with one deep balcony with slips along side walls to meet splays flanking proscenium. Elaborate plasterwork on balcony front, panelled ceiling and proscenium arch. Plain façe, wide and low in white painted terracotta. Long low side elevation with brick fly tower. Closed as a cinema in 1961, reopened later as a bingo hall. Demolished 1990 for road widening.
