Aberdeen Performing Arts was established in 2004 to manage and operate three venues in the centre of Aberdeen – His Majesty’s Theatre, The Music Hall and The Lemon Tree. The Edwardian, Frank Matcham-designed His Majesty’s is both a number one receiving theatre with a capacity of 1475 and a producing venue for large scale work; The Music Hall is a 1500 capacity, Victorian concert hall, internationally acclaimed for its acoustics. The Belgrade Theatre was built in 1958 as part of the reconstruction of Coventry after World War II and was named in honour of the Yugoslav gift of timber used to help reconstruct the city. Holding 866 in its two-tier main auditorium, it remains one of the largest regional producing theatres in Britain. Autumn 2007 saw the re-opening of the Belgrade Theatre after completion of its major capital project, which included a new 250-300 seat second space and refurbishment of the existing listed building. Hamish Glen has been both Artistic Director and Chief Executive since 2003.

Charcoalblue provides bespoke design guidance on spaces intended for the presentation of drama, opera, dance, music, film and art. We pride ourselves on our collaborative approach, and in developing user-led projects. 2010 saw our collaboration with Haworth Tompkins on the Hoffman Building at Snape Maltings win a RIBA award, and the public opening of the RSC’s Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-Upon-Avon. The London Opera Glass Company has been providing theatres with an opera glass service since 1913. Theatre Royal, Bath

The beautifully refurbished Grade II* Theatre Royal Bath, dating from 1805, is one of the few remaining theatres from that period still serving its original purpose. Audiences of 270,000 people a year travel from a 50 miles radius and beyond, making the Theatre Royal one of the most successful regional theatres. Theatre Royal, Margate

Theatre Royal Margate was listed as Grade II* in 1987. Originally commissioned in 1786 the theatre was extensively re-modelled in 1874 by the theatre architect JT Robinson who also designed the Old Vic in London. The auditorium, proscenium arch and stage from this time survive today in a virtually unaltered state. Managed by the Margate Theatre Royal Trust under Artistic Director Will Wollen the theatre is engaged on a journey to be a financially independent, influential and ground-breaking cultural and community hub centred around a beautifully-restored heritage building, with state of the art facilities.

Opened in February 1837, the Grade I listed Theatre Royal remains one of the most historic, cultural landmarks in Newcastle.
