Black and white postcard showing the façade and part of a sidewall of the London Opera House, also known as the Stoll Theatre (later replaced by the Royalty, now Peacock, Theatre) on the corner of Kingsway and Portugal Street in London. It is a lavishly decorated building with figures lining the roof and a long iron canopy that stretches along Kingsway. ‘LONDON OPERA HOUSE’ appears along the entablature towards the top of the building. Advertising signage and various entrances and exits are visible at street-level, and a smaller canopy continues along the sidewall on Portugal Street.
