Taken from across the road, it shows a plain brick sidewall with the stage door, get-in and fly tower visible in the background to the left, and a broad stucco façade to the right with a pedimental gable and rustication around two semicircular arched doorways in an imitation of ashlar. A vertical sign attached to the centre of the façade bears the name HIPPODROME.
