It is a broad gabled red brick front relieved with sparse terracotta ornament. There are thin bands across the gable and four boarded-up oval windows in thin pedimented surrounds at first floor level, with ‘Royal Theatre’ in a panel below. Lantern finials sit on the springings and apex.
