  • Description
Black and white postcard showing the façade of the Crown Theatre, also known as Peckham Hippodrome, within a streetscape of Peckham High Street in London. The theatre, with its entrance block and larger, adjacent block with stubby corner towers, dominates the left hand side of the postcard. The words GRAND CHRISTMAS PANTOMIME appear across the nearest side of an iron canopy that covers the main entrance. A balustraded balcony sits above the canopy in front of three french windows, above which a short colonnaded area is visible. Advertising signage is visible on the larger block.
