Colour photograph showing the façade and sidewall of the Thwaites Theatre in Blackburn. Taken from across the road it shows the Aqueduct Road façade on the left hand side with the sidewall to the right. The wide façade incorporates seven bays divided by piers that rise up to a cornice band below a pitched slated roof. There are circular windows on alternate bays and a black panel bears the name of the theatre at first floor level. These themes are repeated on the taller sidewall, with an identical black panel, piers and window.
