  Colour photograph of a view of Bournemouth Pier showing the exterior of the Pier Theatre. Taken from the seafront promenade it shows the main walkway on the right hand side with the theatre, designed to look like an ocean liner, at the end of the 1000 ft long pier, in the centre of the photograph. The theatre has a barrel-vaulted roof made of copper, with inward sloping sidewalls. Two five-foot tall figures of sea horses adorn the facade above the entrance, flanking PIER THEATRE ALL-STAR COMEDY SEASON in large lettering.
